Tilman Fertitta Finalizes Purchase of Del Frisco’s Steakhouse Chain

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Houston entrepreneur Tilman J. Fertitta announced that Landry’s, Inc. has completed its acquisition of Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouses and Del Frisco’s Grille locations.

The seller was L Catterton, a large global consumer-focused private equity firm. Reports indicated the purchase price was in the range of $300 million to $325 million.

Del Frisco’s is a prominent operator in the upscale steakhouse segment, with restaurants across 13 U.S. states.

With this acquisition, Landry’s, Inc. now owns 16 Double Eagle Steakhouses and 17 Del Frisco’s Grilles. In Texas alone there are four Del Frisco’s locations, including sites in Houston and Dallas.

The company also manages BR Guest restaurants in New York, including Dos Caminos and Bill’s Bar & Burger.

Landry’s gaming division features the well-known Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino properties, with locations in Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada; Atlantic City, New Jersey; Biloxi, Mississippi; and Lake Charles, Louisiana. The company’s entertainment operations include the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, the Kemah Boardwalk, and aquarium restaurants.

Hospitality holdings under Landry’s include the San Luis Resort, Spa & Conference Center on Galveston Island and the Post Oak Hotel near Houston’s Loop 610.
