SAN ANTONIO – A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Wednesday for two new buildings within the 122-acre RidgeWood Park, developed by Worth & Associates in the far North Central San Antonio submarket.

Both projects, planned for completion in summer 2020, are situated along Highway 281 between Sonterra Boulevard and Redland Road, north of Loop 1604. Together they will provide approximately 220,000 square feet of office and medical-oriented space.

The two buildings are:

  • RidgeWood Plaza II: a 123,000-square-foot, four-story Class A office building.

  • TSAOG Orthopaedics’ RidgeWood Orthopaedic Center: a 97,000-square-foot medical facility.

“With the development of RidgeWood Plaza II, we are building on the success of RidgeWood Plaza I and RidgeWood Business Center I & II,” said Clint Worth, President of Development and Brokerage for Worth & Associates. “Thanks to its strategic location, strong tenant mix, and Class A office product, RidgeWood Park is quickly becoming San Antonio’s premier business park. Adding TSAOG as a tenant brings significant prestige to the development.”

Worth & Associates is moving forward with RidgeWood Plaza II in response to the solid lease-up of RidgeWood Plaza I, a 148,000-square-foot Class A office building, and the continued demand for new Class A office space in the far North Central submarket.

The architect for RidgeWood Plaza II is Chesney Morales, and Kopplow Construction serves as the general contractor.

RidgeWood Park sits adjacent to the Mud Creek hike-and-bike trail and a permanent 7.5-acre Dry Creek greenbelt. The park already hosts several major businesses, including Marathon, EOG Resources and Tech Data.

The RidgeWood Orthopaedic Center will include an outpatient surgery center with eight large operating rooms and four private recovery suites, designed to support advanced outpatient procedures such as arthroscopic surgery, total joint replacement and spinal operations.

“TSAOG performed over 8,500 procedures in our outpatient surgery center in 2017, and that number rose to more than 10,000 in 2018,” said Dr. Sergio Viroslav. “The RidgeWood Orthopaedic Center will allow us to offer San Antonio a second comprehensive orthopedic care facility and an additional outpatient surgery center to meet this growing demand.”

The medical project’s architect is E4H Architecture, The Jordan Group is handling interior design, and Joeris Construction is the general contractor.

With these two additions, San Antonio–based Worth & Associates will have delivered five new-construction projects in RidgeWood Park, totaling 490,000 square feet across 38 acres of the 122-acre development.
