SUGAR LAND, Texas — E Contractors has broken ground on Egrets Landing Sugar Land, a new 22,000-square-foot office building in Fort Bend County’s Lake Pointe community. The two-story project sits on a 1.5-acre parcel near the northwest corner of Highway 6 and U.S. 59.
Designed with a modern glass façade and steel frame, the building aims to offer bright, contemporary office space with water views. E Contractors is serving as both developer and general contractor on the project, which is scheduled for completion in January 2018.
“We want to create a distinguished ambiance that takes advantage of the water views for our tenants, who we envision will be local to the Sugar Land area and will want to showcase their business through this unique location,” said Irfan Abji, chief executive officer and principal of E Contractors.
This is the first Egrets Landing project, and Abji noted plans to replicate the concept in other Houston-area suburbs, including Katy and The Woodlands. Pre-leasing for the property is already underway.
E Contractors and its sister company, Oakdale Group, plan to occupy office space within Egrets Landing, adding a local presence to the development.
