Avera Expands Rapidly in Southeast Houston

PASADENA, Texas – Avera Cos. has announced plans to develop a 148,000-square-foot distribution facility on an 11.8-acre parcel at the intersection of Highway 225 and Red Bluff Road in Pasadena, on Houston’s southeast side. The site was recently acquired by Avera and will serve the growing logistics demand in the area.

Headquartered in Houston and led by Trey Odom, Avera has been particularly active across the southeast Houston industrial market. In December, the company closed on a major purchase of 368 acres from PPG Industries. That larger tract is bounded by Spencer Highway to the north and Fairmont Parkway, and it lies within convenient distance of the Port of Houston’s Barbours Cut and Bayport terminals, enhancing access to maritime freight routes.

Avera is currently engaged in several significant projects on Houston’s eastern side. In Bayport Logistics Park, the firm is constructing two buildings for Kuraray America that together total 562,000 square feet. Additionally, Avera is developing a 500,000-square-foot logistics facility in Baytown for Vinmar International. These projects reflect Avera’s focus on large-scale industrial and distribution development to support regional supply chains.

Beyond the Houston region, Avera has developed industrial properties serving the energy sector across major U.S. resource plays, including the Permian Basin, Eagle Ford Shale and Bakken Shale. These developments demonstrate the company’s experience in building facilities tailored to both energy and logistics clients.
