Hines Lists Houston Multifamily Development on Former Café Adobe Site

Hines is marketing the 21 Eleven apartments on Westheimer Road in Houston. The Meeks + Partners–designed complex was completed in 2015.

HOUSTON — Hines has put its 21 Eleven apartment community up for sale. The five-story, 215-unit complex sits near the southwest corner of Westheimer Road and South Shepherd Drive, inside Houston’s Inner Loop.

Berkadia’s multifamily group, led by Ryan Epstein, has been retained to manage the disposition of the property at 2119 Westheimer at Peckham Street.

Built on the former site of the Café Adobe restaurant, 21 Eleven was completed in March 2015 and represents one of Hines’ earlier efforts in multifamily housing after the firm launched its apartment division in 2011.

The property encompasses approximately 203,000 square feet on a 1.9-acre site. Meeks + Partners designed the community, which consists of two connected five-story buildings linked by a sky bridge above two levels of podium parking.

Café Adobe had operated at the Westheimer location since 1981; the restaurant continues to operate other locations.
