HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – JAMS, a global provider of arbitration, mediation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services, has leased 10,055 square feet at 609 Main at Texas, the 48-story office tower in downtown Houston, Hines announced.
JAMS will occupy the 39th floor of the 1,073,075-square-foot office tower in downtown Houston.
With this lease, 609 Main at Texas is now 95 percent leased. Completed by Hines in 2017, the tower has benefited from the “flight to quality” trend as companies upgrade to premier office space.
Notable tenants at 609 Main at Texas include United Airlines, Kirkland & Ellis LLP, White & Case, Orrick, EnVen Energy, Royal Bank of Canada, Hogan Lovells, McKinsey & Company, and Russell Reynolds Associates.
Hines Senior Managing Director John Mooz said the firm is proud that JAMS selected 609 Main for its new office and looks forward to hosting their panel of respected mediators and arbitrators in the building. Founded in 1979, JAMS is the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution services worldwide.
Designed by architecture firm Pickard Chilton, 609 Main at Texas features north and south façades that extend skyward and culminate in a striking diagonal crown, creating a highly visible downtown landmark.
Building amenities include a hotel-style lobby with a café and dedicated networking areas; a 7,000-square-foot fitness center and an 8,000-square-foot conference center; a modern underfloor HVAC system; and private roof gardens in select tenant suites.
The building also showcases a signature six-story arched window overlooking Main Street, adjacent to the METRO rail line.
Hines is a privately owned global real estate investment firm founded in 1957, with a presence in 225 cities across 25 countries. To date, Hines has developed, redeveloped or acquired 1,426 properties totaling more than 472 million square feet.
