HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Netherland, Sewell & Associates has renewed its lease at Fulbright Tower, the Class A office building at 1301 McKinney Street in downtown Houston.

Netherland, Sewell & Associates, an oil and gas consulting firm, renewed space totaling 25,543 square feet. The firm was represented in the lease negotiations by Griff Bandy of NAI Partners.

“Netherland, Sewell & Associates’ lease renewal underscores their commitment to Fulbright Tower and the downtown Houston market,” said Griff Bandy, a partner with NAI. “Current market conditions, combined with the ongoing renovation of Houston Center, created an ideal opportunity for the firm to reaffirm its presence on the campus.”

Brookfield Properties was represented in the transaction by Doug Little, David Baker, Kelli Gault and Jack Scharnberg of Transwestern, alongside Clint Bawcom of Brookfield Properties.

“Netherland, Sewell & Associates’ recommitment comes at an exciting time as the Houston Center campus undergoes renovation,” said Travis Overall, executive vice president and head of the Texas region for Brookfield Properties. “Since announcing redevelopment plans, we’ve added a number of new tenants to Houston Center.”

Recent additions to the Houston Center tenant roster include Gensler, Direct Energy, and Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease.

In January 2019, Brookfield announced a major redevelopment plan for Houston Center that includes a new arrival experience along McKinney Street with a central plaza and expanded greenspace, a monumental stair linking landscaped terraces, a two-story glass façade, and refurbished skybridges designed to encourage street-level restaurant and retail activity.
