Pilgrim’s Pride Chicken Magnate’s 18,000-SF Mansion on 43 Acres Up for Auction

18,000-SF home is for sale in northeast Texas.

PITTSBURG, Texas – A custom-built mansion originally created for Lonnie Alfred “Bo” Pilgrim, the founder of Pilgrim’s Pride, one of the nation’s largest poultry producers, is being offered for sale.

The 18,000-square-foot estate sits in Pittsburg in East Texas, about 100 miles east of Dallas, and will be sold at auction next month through Concierge Auctions.

The sale is being conducted with listing agents Kyle Crews and Sanders Avrea of Allie Beth Allman & Associates and Clayton Pilgrim of Century 21 Farm and Ranch.

Located at 800 South Greer Boulevard, the residence will be auctioned without reserve to the highest bidder. Bidding will take place October 15–18 on Concierge Auctions’ online platform, ConciergeAuctions.com.

“This estate was custom-built to my father’s exact specifications with superior materials and craftsmanship, and our family has enjoyed it for many years. When we decided it was time to sell, we wanted the same level of standards. We knew working with Concierge Auctions would allow our family the ability to set our date of sale and deliver a result which enables us to move on to the next phase in our lives,” said seller Ken Pilgrim.

Ornate home is located about 100 miles east of Dallas.

This multi-generational estate could also serve as a wellness or rehabilitation center. The property offers more than 18,000 square feet of living area, six bedrooms, and 10 full bathrooms plus one half bath. The design is ornate and grand, featuring a glass elevator that overlooks the grounds, European-made gas fireplaces, French front doors, and aged, antiqued Red Oak flooring.

Renowned architect Richard Drummond Davis designed the home.

Indoor amenities include a large pool with wet and dry saunas and a spa inspired by the Greenbrier Resort, incorporating classic European details.

The estate spans 43 acres of meticulously tended grounds planned by landscape architect Naud Burnett. The grounds include a diverse collection of native trees, three ponds and streams, a deep water well supplying fresh water, extensive azalea gardens, a greenhouse, and three outbuilding shops.

“I’ve partnered with Concierge Auctions nearly 15 times because I know their platform is the best way to attract the global attention necessary to sell a unique property of this caliber in an expedited time-frame—which is why I recommended my clients go straight to auction,” said listing agent Kyle Crews of Allie Beth Allman. “With motivated sellers ready to let the market dictate the final sale price and multiple bidders competing to win, it’s a win-win for clients on both sides of the deal.”
