Real Estate Leaders: Jacobs, Sigler, Chiles, Giammalva, Marjanović

HOUSTON – (People in Real Estate from Realty News Report) – Midway, the Houston-based real estate investment and development firm, announced several promotions and a new hire, said Jamie Bryant, Midway’s President and Chief Operating Officer. Lacee Jacobs and Robert Sigler have been appointed to Midway’s Leadership Team, joining the company’s senior executives in setting and implementing firmwide direction and strategy. Trevor Janecek has been promoted to Vice President, Investment Management. Andrew McKinney has been promoted to Regional Property Manager, Property Operations. Kelly Day joins Midway as Director, Investor Relations; she most recently served as Director of Institutional Relations at EnerVest, Ltd., where she managed investor relations for more than 200 institutional investors including public and corporate pensions, endowments, foundations, consultants, family offices and fund of funds.


HOUSTON – Partners Real Estate Company—the holding company for NAI Partners, Partners Capital, and Partners Development—announced that Brett Chiles, a seasoned private equity professional, has joined Partners Development as a Director. Chiles will focus on raising capital and sourcing debt for Partners Development’s ground-up retail and other development and investment projects. He brings over two decades of investment experience and joins Partners Real Estate Company from KA Investments, a Houston-based private equity firm where he served as a principal.


HOUSTON – Mary Jo Giammalva has joined JPR Commercial Real Estate as Senior Vice President. Giammalva previously worked with Weingarten Realty in industrial roles and served with JLM Commercial Advisors. Jennifer Raymond is president of JPR.


HOUSTON – Igor Marjanović will become the William Ward Watkin Dean of Rice Architecture on July 1. Marjanović arrives at Rice University from Washington University in St. Louis and will lead the school’s academic and design initiatives.


DALLAS – Savills has named Wayne Gearey as Senior Managing Director in its expanded Location Strategy practice. Gearey will work in Dallas alongside KLG Advisors, Savills’ strategic location and workforce advisory practice.


HOUSTON – New Hope Housing, the state’s leading provider of permanent, affordable supportive housing for people who have experienced homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless, has elected Jeff Hebert to its board of directors. Hebert is president of HR&A Advisors.


CHICAGO – JLL Hotels & Hospitality has hired 15-year hotel industry veteran Erin Green as Senior Vice President for the company’s Global Hotel Asset Management team. Green will report to Andrea Grigg, Senior Managing Director and head of JLL’s Global Hotel Asset Management practice.


SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. – Tangram, a firm specializing in creative commercial interiors and workspaces, announced the promotion of Eric Lockwood to Director of Design for Tangram Technology.
