HOUSTON – (RNR’s People in Real Estate) – Marcus & Millichap has announced the addition of veteran multifamily investment specialists Greg Austin, Travis Austin, and Jackson Hart to its Houston team. All three previously worked at JLL. Greg Austin joins Marcus & Millichap as Senior Managing Director of Investments, Travis Austin as Senior Associate, and Jackson Hart as Financial Analyst. Over a career spanning more than 26 years in commercial real estate, Greg Austin and his team have completed over 400 multifamily transactions, including more than 80 FHA-financed properties with a combined value exceeding $11 billion.
The law firm McGuireWoods has hired partner Mason Mote for its Real Estate & Land Use Department with responsibilities in both Houston and Austin. Mote joins McGuireWoods after serving as General Counsel and Executive Vice President at Williamsburg Enterprises, a Houston-based real estate company.
Berkadia announced the addition of Senior Managing Director Brandon Buell to its Student Housing Group’s investment sales platform. Buell will partner with Senior Managing Director Kevin Larimer and will be based in Berkadia’s Houston office, reporting to SVP and Head of Investment Sales Keith Misner. He joins Berkadia from Newmark Knight Frank’s Student Housing group and previously served as an associate partner at ApexOne Investments Partners.
Andrew McDonald, a 20-year veteran of Cushman & Wakefield, has been named Chief Executive of the Americas for the firm.
Troy Jenkins has joined Avison Young as a Principal and Director of Investment Management. Based in Los Angeles, Jenkins will support the expansion of the firm’s U.S. investment platform.
